Les Paul is the inventor of the first solid body electric guitar, one of the classic guitars of our times, the Gibson Les Paul. A gifted performer Les Paul has since become the only individual to share membership into the Grammy Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the National Inventors Hall of Fame, and the National Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Les Paul continued to perform every Monday night at the Iridium Jazz Club in NYC until he passed in 2009 at the age of 94.
