Fred Schmidt and Shelley Meyer began the legacy of Wild About Music in 1995 by joining forces with a small sole-proprietor hobby business located inside the old Bluebonnet Market. That original 200-sf booth was expanded it into their vision of a 5,000-sf all-music-themed art and gift gallery.<\/span><\/p>\n While a changing Austin landscape has forced the shop to move and altered the dynamics of the sales floor over the years, the brand has always stayed true to its Austin music heritage by representing regional and national artists in a variety of mediums.<\/p>\n Two decades and five locations later, the business is still thriving in the heart of the Live Music Capital and filling the hearts of music players and listeners alike with joy and great
